November payroll

Salaries for MPs and MPs' staff for November 2023 will be paid as usual on Thursday 30 November 2023. Payslips are available now on IPSA Online.

Every month payroll departments submit a return to HMRC confirming what everyone’s pay and tax is.

Unfortunately, due to a payroll system provider issue, the November 2023 file has been reported twice against both November and December. This error was spotted and has had no impact on the payroll this month.

If you have the HMRC app or check your personal tax account via their website, you will see that there are December figures in there, so we are letting you know about the situation to avoid any confusion.

We are working closely with HMRC and will continue to do so over the next month to ensure there is no impact on you, but if you have an issue as a direct result of this please contact us immediately.

We apologise for this error and we have worked with the provider to investigate the cause and to prevent any future problems.
