Ian Todd appointed as Interim CEO

We are pleased to announce that Ian Todd has been appointed as Interim Chief Executive of IPSA. He will take up the position on 19 October 2020.

Ian has been Chief Executive of the Security Industry Authority since February 2019. He previously held the post of Deputy Director General at the Independent Office for Police Conduct. He has also held several board level roles in professional regulation, including the health and legal sectors.

Ian has also spent time in central government, including the Department for Education and the Cabinet Office.

He has extensive experience of dealing with the public in a frontline role as his first career was with the NHS ambulance services. Throughout his 15 years in the ambulance service he was a qualified paramedic and held a number of roles to director level, including as part of the senior command team during the 7/7 London bombings.

Ian's appointment follows the departure of Marcial Boo who had been Chief Executive since June 2014.
